BUILD YOUR OWN ROV

Underwater lighting is essential, the light or lights can be house inside the underwater housing or on the outside. Again a pressure housing is required if the light is fitted to the outside of the underwater housing.

The ROV sometimes is required to move, cut or retrieve items found in the water or on the seabed. Therefore it would be nice if we could design a small and simple manipulator consisting of a jaw and a cutter all in one.

Manipulators can also have a single purpose like sea water samplers, sea bed samplers etc..

Sensors

Sometimes it is handy if you can fit sensors that would be able to tell you water temperature, salinity and any currents. These sensors could be added to the ROV in several different ways and I hope we can include all of them in our "Standard" ROV by the time we are finished.
