ROV's are listed by the tasks that they can perform, in many cases there are overlapping capabilities, which I will ignore. I will discuss these in each individual section in more detail, since the overlapping normally occur where the Owner or Operator of the equipment has specially designed or modified the standard supplied equipment. You will in general find that the larger the ROV the more general tasks it can perform.
