The VIPER is a 25 shp hydraulic ROV system designed to provide a high powered, small sized vehicle for drill support, general subsea construction, inspection and maintenance tasks. The vehicle's high thrust and low weight allow it to work in high currents (greater than 3.0 knots) and the small footprint of the VIPER is an important feature for drill rig work. VIPER's PC/STD32 486-based control system is a cost effective, easily supported and maintained system with high reliability and performance.
